Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Steam Cleaning Detailer – Vehicle Interior Specialist to join our team at CARSTAR Kanata. In this role, you will be responsible for meticulously cleaning and reconditioning vehicle interiors using advanced steam cleaning techniques. Your expertise will ensure vehicles are returned to our customers in pristine condition, enhancing their overall experience. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive interior detailing services, focusing on deep steam cleaning of carpets, upholstery, dashboards, and other interior surfaces.
- Utilize specialized steam cleaning equipment and appropriate cleaning agents to remove dirt, stains, and odors effectively.
- Inspect vehicles for areas requiring special attention and recommend additional services as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all equipment is properly stored and maintained.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company standards for vehicle detailing and chemical handling.
- Communicate effectively with team members and service advisors regarding vehicle status and detailing progress.
- Ensure timely completion of detailing tasks to meet customer expectations and service schedules.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (1+ year) in automotive detailing, specifically with interior reconditioning.
- Proficiency in operating steam cleaning equipment and other detailing tools.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Knowledge of various cleaning products and their appropriate application on different interior materials.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy shop environment.
- Valid G-Class driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in automotive detailing or related fields.
- Experience with minor interior repairs (e.g., leather conditioning, scratch removal).
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
