Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and physically capable Sporting Goods Equipment Mover to join our team in Waterbury, CT. This role is crucial for maintaining the organization and efficiency of our retail store, ensuring that merchandise is properly received, stocked, and displayed. You will be responsible for handling a variety of sporting goods, from small accessories to large equipment, requiring consistent physical effort. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy an active role in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and process incoming merchandise, including lifting and moving heavy boxes and equipment.
- Organize and stock inventory on sales floor shelves, racks, and in storage areas.
- Assist with merchandise transfers and returns, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the stockroom and sales floor.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., hand trucks, pallet jacks) if certified or trained.
- Support sales associates by ensuring products are readily available for customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support store operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly and stand for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic communication skills.
- Attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
