Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and hardworking Seasonal Cider Apple Pickers to join our agricultural teams operating in the beautiful West Country regions, including Somerset. While our recruitment office is based in Stoke-on-Trent, this crucial role involves hands-on work in apple orchards during the harvest season. You will be responsible for carefully hand-picking cider apples to meet our stringent quality standards. This is a physically demanding role performed outdoors in various weather conditions, perfect for individuals who enjoy working in nature and contributing to the production of high-quality cider.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute precise hand-picking of cider apples from trees, ensuring fruit quality and minimizing damage.
- Operate ladders and other basic picking equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety guidelines and company protocols.
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet daily picking targets.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work environment within the orchard.
- Report any issues with fruit quality or equipment to supervisors promptly.
- Work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and stamina for prolonged periods of standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive tasks.
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work efficiently.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.

- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications

- Ability to commute to rural orchard locations, a full UK driving license is advantageous.
