Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Shopify Project Manager to lead web design and development projects. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept and strategy through to successful launch and post-launch support. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including designers, developers, marketing specialists, and stakeholders to deliver innovative, high-performing Shopify solutions that meet client objectives and exceed expectations. This role requires a strong understanding of the Shopify ecosystem, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to manage complex web projects efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of Shopify web design and development projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and resource requirements in collaboration with stakeholders and team members.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, and track progress against these plans.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between design, development, content, and QA teams.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates and managing expectations.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, implementing solutions as needed.
- Conduct quality assurance and user acceptance testing to ensure project deliverables meet high standards.
- Lead project retrospective meetings to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of experience in project management, specifically with web development or e-commerce projects.
- Proven experience managing Shopify projects (Plus or standard).
- Strong understanding of web design and development principles, including UX/UI best practices, responsive design, and front-end technologies.
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Asana, Jira, Trello).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
- PMP, CSM, or other relevant project management certification.
- Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Familiarity with marketing automation, SEO, and analytics tools.
- Previous experience working in an agency environment or for a leading e-commerce platform.
