Job Description
Are you a night owl looking for a dynamic role with great pay? FedEx Ground in Meridian, Idaho is seeking dedicated and reliable Night Shift Package Handlers to join our fast-paced team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for loading, unloading, sorting, and scanning packages within our facility. This position offers a competitive hourly wage, plus a high night differential pay, making it an excellent opportunity for those who thrive in a nocturnal work environment. Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload packages from company vehicles, trailers, and conveyor belts.
- Sort and scan packages according to destination and shipping requirements.
- Handle packages with care to prevent damage.
- Operate scanning equipment and adhere to safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient package flow.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety regulations.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs (and up to 75 lbs with assistance).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Basic communication skills.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and climb for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is a plus, but not required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
