Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Curriculum Developer / Designer to join our innovative educational technology team. In this role, you will be instrumental in creating engaging, effective, and high-quality learning experiences. You will work closely with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and technical teams to transform complex information into accessible and interactive curriculum materials. This position focuses on leveraging a provided Course of Study (CoS) framework to develop and enhance educational content across various subjects and platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and revise engaging and effective learning curricula based on specified Course of Study (CoS) frameworks and learning objectives.
- Collaborate closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather, interpret, and organize content for instructional materials.
- Apply robust instructional design principles and adult learning theories to create interactive, outcomes-driven learning experiences.
- Ensure all curriculum materials, assessments, and activities align with specified learning outcomes, industry standards, and accessibility guidelines.
- Conduct thorough reviews and evaluations of existing courses and newly developed content for clarity, accuracy, effectiveness, and continuous improvement.
- Utilize various authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and learning management systems (LMS) to produce and deploy course content.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to timelines and budget constraints while maintaining high-quality standards.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in instructional design and curriculum development.
- Proficiency with industry-standard authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, interdisciplinary team environment.
- Demonstrated project management skills, including meticulous attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with specific learning technologies, virtual reality, or augmented reality platforms.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and their application in course development.
- Prior experience working within the EdTech sector or a large educational institution.
- Familiarity with data analytics for optimizing learning outcomes and curriculum effectiveness.
