Job Description
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Retail Window Display Assistant to join our visual merchandising team in Stoke-on-Trent. This role is crucial in bringing our brand aesthetic to life through compelling window displays and in-store visual merchandising. You will work closely with the Visual Merchandising Manager to execute seasonal campaigns, product launches, and promotional displays, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and enhancing customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the conceptualisation, planning, and execution of captivating window displays.
- Implement in-store visual merchandising directives, ensuring product placement, signage, and promotional materials are correctly displayed.
- Maintain the highest standards of presentation in all display areas, including cleanliness, tidiness, and product availability.
- Regularly refresh and update displays to reflect new arrivals, promotions, and seasonal themes.
- Source and manage props, mannequins, and other display materials, ensuring they are well-maintained and stored efficiently.
- Provide visual support to the sales floor team, offering guidance on merchandising principles.
- Monitor competitor displays and visual trends to contribute fresh ideas to the team.
- Ensure all displays comply with health and safety regulations.
Required Skills
- Proven interest or experience in visual merchandising, retail display, or a creative field.
- Strong eye for aesthetics, design, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Basic understanding of current fashion and home trends.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and move display materials and mannequins.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a retail visual merchandising role.
- Vocational qualification or degree in fashion design, visual merchandising, art, or a related creative discipline.
- Proficiency in basic design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop) for mood boards or concept development.
- Knowledge of UK retail visual merchandising best practices.
