Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Apple API Integration Specialist to join our dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity to work on projects with a ‘tech startup focus’ within a leading global company, developing critical integrations with various Apple APIs across iOS, macOS, and watchOS platforms. You will be instrumental in bridging our robust backend systems with the immersive Apple ecosystem, ensuring seamless and innovative user experiences. This position is 100% remote, offering flexibility and the chance to collaborate with a diverse, international team from the comfort of your home office. You will drive the design, development, and maintenance of scalable and secure Apple API integrations, playing a key role in our next generation of products.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement secure and scalable integrations with various Apple APIs (e.g., HealthKit, Wallet, SiriKit, HomeKit, CloudKit) for iOS, macOS, and watchOS applications.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other development teams to define integration requirements and deliver high-quality features.
- Ensure the performance, reliability, and security of all Apple API integrations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to API connectivity and data exchange.
- Stay current with the latest Apple technologies, SDKs, and best practices to continually enhance our integration capabilities.
- Participate in code reviews, contribute to technical documentation, and promote knowledge sharing within the team.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and strategic planning for future Apple ecosystem integrations.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Swift and Objective-C programming languages.
- Strong understanding and practical experience with core Apple frameworks such as UIKit, SwiftUI, Foundation, Combine, and XCTest.
- Demonstrable experience integrating with a variety of Apple APIs (e.g., SiriKit, HealthKit, Wallet, Push Notifications, MapKit, CloudKit).
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, and network communication protocols.
- Proficiency with version control systems, especially Git.
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile development (e.g., Fastlane, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their API management services.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced 'startup-like' environment or contributing to innovative internal projects within a larger enterprise.
