Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary / Elementary School Teacher to join our vibrant team in Southaven, Mississippi. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans in accordance with the district's curriculum guidelines for primary/elementary grades.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning for all students.
- Assess student performance regularly, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records of progress.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student development and academic achievements.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, administration, and support staff to enhance the overall educational experience.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and school-wide initiatives.
- Manage classroom behavior and implement effective disciplinary strategies.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with varying learning styles and abilities.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
- Valid teaching license/certification for elementary education (or eligibility to obtain one in Mississippi).
- Proven ability to create a dynamic and supportive learning environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Strong understanding of child development and instructional best practices for primary/elementary grades.
- Proficiency in integrating technology into classroom instruction.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Education or a specialized teaching area.
- Experience teaching diverse student populations, including international students.
- Familiarity with Mississippi state curriculum standards.
- Experience with differentiated instruction and multi-sensory teaching methods.
- Proficiency in a second language.
