Job Description

We are seeking highly skilled and independent Precision Plinth Cutters to join our network of contractors. This is a unique opportunity for experienced professionals to take on project-based work, with earnings directly tied to the volume and quality of your interventions. You will be responsible for precise cutting and fitting of kitchen plinths, ensuring a perfect finish that meets our high standards and exceeds customer expectations. This role offers flexibility and autonomy, ideal for a self-motivated individual who thrives on delivering exceptional craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately measure and cut kitchen plinths according to design specifications and site conditions.
  • Ensure all cuts are clean, precise, and free from defects.
  • Install plinths to achieve a seamless and aesthetically pleasing finish.
  • Work efficiently to meet project deadlines and client expectations.
  • Maintain a high level of quality control for all completed work.
  • Manage your own tools, equipment, and consumables.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers and clients regarding progress and any issues.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations on site.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in joinery, carpentry, or kitchen fitting.
  • Exceptional precision cutting skills.
  • Proficiency with relevant tools and machinery (e.g., saws, measuring equipment).
  • Strong understanding of various plinth materials and their properties.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage own workload effectively.
  • Valid UK driving license and access to reliable transport.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working as a self-employed contractor.
  • Familiarity with Howdens kitchen product range.
  • CSCS card.
