Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and organized individual to join our team as Maternity Support. This rewarding career path offers the opportunity to provide essential administrative and logistical support to our employees during their maternity leave period. You will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth transition before, during, and after leave, helping our valued team members focus on their growing families while staying connected to their careers at UPS. This role requires excellent communication skills, empathy, and a keen eye for detail to navigate company policies and benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees planning or currently on maternity leave, providing guidance and support.
  • Assist employees with understanding and navigating company maternity leave policies, benefits, and related documentation.
  • Coordinate with HR, Benefits, and Payroll departments to ensure accurate processing of leave requests, pay, and benefits.
  • Maintain confidential records and track leave durations, return-to-work dates, and accommodations.
  • Facilitate communication between employees on leave and their managers regarding updates or important company information.
  • Provide resources and information regarding childcare, lactation support, and other family-friendly benefits.
  • Assist with the return-to-work process, including scheduling and facilitating any necessary workplace accommodations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the maternity support program and enhance the employee experience.
  • Prepare reports and analyses related to maternity leave trends and program effectiveness.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR support, administrative support, or a related field.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated empathy and a supportive demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and leave management software.
  • Knowledge of federal and state leave laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA).
  • Experience in a large, complex organization.
