Job Description

Join Canada Post as a Seasonal Contract Postal Clerk / Sorter in Weyburn, Saskatchewan! Key Responsibilities

  • Sort mail and packages efficiently and accurately according to established routes and procedures.
  • Load and unload postal items from vehicles, carts, and containers.
  • Operate basic mail processing equipment, ensuring items are correctly oriented and handled.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety guidelines and protocols.
  • Identify and report damaged or misdirected mail.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and security regulations.

Required Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret sorting codes and addresses.
  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs (22.7 kg), and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Basic communication skills to interact with team members.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Legal eligibility to work in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, sorting, or logistics environment (not required, but an asset).
  • Familiarity with local geography of Weyburn and surrounding areas.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
