Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently move packages, freight, and other materials on and off shipping docks.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks, trailers, and vans using manual methods and equipment.
- Organize and sort packages according to destination or classification.
- Perform accurate scanning and tracking of items using handheld devices.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment on the dock and surrounding areas.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely processing of shipments.
- Report any damaged items or discrepancies to supervisors.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Basic communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
