Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and proactive Photography & Studio Lighting Intern to join our dynamic E-commerce team. This entry-level role is perfect for an aspiring photographer or visual artist eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced e-commerce environment. You will work closely with our experienced photographers and stylists, contributing to the creation of high-quality product imagery that showcases our diverse fashion range. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about studio operations, digital workflow, and the specifics of e-commerce photography for a leading global brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior photographers with studio setup, including lighting, backdrops, and props for product shoots.
- Learn and apply various studio lighting techniques for different product types (apparel, accessories, footwear).
- Support the photography team during live shoots, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Organize and maintain studio equipment, ensuring all gear is in excellent working condition.
- Perform basic image adjustments and cataloging under supervision.
- Contribute to the upkeep of a tidy and organized studio environment.
- Shadow and learn from experienced professionals across photography, styling, and post-production.
- Support ad-hoc creative projects as required by the E-commerce content team.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of photography principles and camera operation (DSLR/mirrorless).
- Familiarity with studio lighting concepts and equipment.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop or similar image editing software for basic tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiasm for fashion, e-commerce, and visual content creation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree/diploma program in Photography, Visual Arts, Media Production, or a related field.
- A foundational portfolio showcasing personal photography work (fashion or product photography is a bonus).
- Previous experience assisting on photo shoots or working in a studio environment (academic or personal projects included).
- Understanding of e-commerce content needs and trends.
