Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Apple Hardware Systems Aide to join our technical design support team in Eastbourne. This role is ideal for an individual with a keen interest in hardware design, electronics, and technical documentation, looking to start their career in a fast-paced and innovative environment. You will provide essential support to our engineering teams working on sophisticated hardware systems, ensuring smooth operations and efficient project execution. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior engineers with the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, including schematics, layouts, and bill of materials (BOMs).
  • Organize and manage design files, ensuring version control and accessibility for the team.
  • Perform basic component research and procurement support, liaising with suppliers as needed.
  • Support the assembly and testing of hardware prototypes, documenting observations and results.
  • Maintain lab equipment and ensure a tidy and organized workspace.
  • Assist with data entry and analysis related to hardware performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate timely project completion.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on project progress and technical findings.

Required Skills

  • Basic understanding of electronics principles and hardware components.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn new technologies and processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Familiarity with CAD software for schematic capture or PCB layout (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle, KiCad).
  • Experience with basic lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters).
  • Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).
