Job Description
Join CVS Health as a Pharmacy Technician with a focus on our casual weekend roster! Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescriptions, including receiving and processing new and refill orders.
- Verify patient information and input data accurately into the pharmacy system.
- Manage inventory, including ordering, stocking, and organizing medications and supplies.
- Process insurance claims and resolve basic payment issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety and sanitation standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient questions and concerns with professionalism.
- Operate cash register and handle financial transactions accurately.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) or equivalent state registration/licensure.
- Minimum of 6 months of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail setting.
- Proficiency in pharmacy software systems and basic computer skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Reliability and punctuality for scheduled weekend shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CVS Health pharmacy systems (RxConnect).
- Familiarity with various insurance plans and billing procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Prior experience working weekend shifts in a healthcare setting.
