Job Description

As a Google Support Specialist at Cognizant, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional technical support to users of Google’s suite of products and services across various industries. This 100% remote position requires a proactive problem-solver with a strong customer-first mindset and a comprehensive understanding of Google Workspace (formerly G Suite), Chrome OS, and other related Google enterprise tools. You will be responsible for resolving complex technical issues, providing detailed guidance, and ensuring a seamless experience for our clients. This role focuses on supporting clients located across all states of the USA, operating entirely from your remote home office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert-level technical support for Google Workspace applications (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Meet, Chat, Sites, Forms) and Chrome OS.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues through various channels including phone, email, and chat.
  • Document all support interactions, resolutions, and follow-up actions accurately in the ticketing system.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and Google support channels to escalate and resolve advanced issues when necessary.
  • Educate users on best practices, features, and functionalities of Google products to enhance their productivity and adoption.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of knowledge base articles and troubleshooting guides for common issues.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality, adhering to established SLAs.
  • Stay up-to-date with new Google product releases, features, and updates through continuous learning and training.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting Google Workspace applications (Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Meet)
  • Familiarity with Chrome OS and general networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, VPN)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail
  • Customer service-oriented mindset with a passion for helping users
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment
  • Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Zendesk, Salesforce Service Cloud)
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a technical support role

Preferred Qualifications

  • Google Workspace Administrator certification or similar Google Cloud certifications
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) basic concepts and services
  • Previous experience in a remote technical support role supporting enterprise clients
  • Knowledge of ITIL frameworks and best practices in service management
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
