Job Description
Join the Walmart Distribution Center team in Norman, Oklahoma, as an Evening Shift Packer. This full-time position offers a consistent Monday to Thursday schedule, providing a great work-life balance with three-day weekends. You will be instrumental in ensuring the accurate and efficient packing of merchandise for shipment, playing a critical role in our supply chain. We are looking for dedicated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to maintaining high standards of quality and productivity. No prior experience is necessary; we provide comprehensive training!
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pack various merchandise items into cartons according to specified instructions and standards.
- Verify product counts and quality to ensure accuracy and prevent damages or discrepancies.
- Operate packing equipment and tools safely and efficiently, including tape dispensers and manual pallet jacks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and contribute to overall warehouse efficiency.
- Prepare packages for shipment by labeling, scanning, and staging them in designated areas.
- Perform other general warehouse duties as assigned by supervisors.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in packing and product verification.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures in a warehouse environment.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability and punctuality for the evening shift schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, production, or packing role.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems or RF scanners.
- High school diploma or GED.
