Job Description
Join Cardinal Health as a Pharmaceutical Courier, specializing in high-security, 100% indoor operations. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the secure and precise internal transportation of pharmaceutical products within our state-of-the-art distribution facility. This position is crucial for maintaining the integrity of our supply chain and ensuring that sensitive materials are handled with the utmost care and in strict adherence to all security protocols. This is an entirely indoor position, operating within a controlled and secure environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute the secure internal transport of high-value and sensitive pharmaceutical products within designated areas of the facility.
- Verify inventory accuracy during transfers, ensuring all items match documentation before and after movement.
- Strictly adhere to all company security policies, safety regulations, and pharmaceutical handling protocols.
- Maintain meticulous logs and records of all transported items, including origin, destination, and timestamps.
- Operate internal transport equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, or specialized carts safely and efficiently.
- Report any discrepancies, incidents, or security concerns immediately to supervisory personnel.
- Contribute to a culture of safety and compliance within the secure logistics environment.
- Participate in routine security checks and audits as required.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated high attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to follow complex instructions and established protocols precisely.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and record-keeping.
- Physical ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs unassisted and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Possession of a clean background check and ability to pass drug screenings.
- Strong commitment to security and confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in logistics, warehousing, or secure handling of sensitive materials.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical handling guidelines or regulated environments.
- Experience operating internal material handling equipment (e.g., electric pallet jacks).
