Job Description
Are you detail-oriented, hands-on, and looking for an entry-level opportunity to start your career with a global leader? IKEA is seeking an IKEA Office Chair Trainee for a simple manual gig at our Rancho Cucamonga facility. This role is perfect for individuals with no prior experience who are eager to learn and contribute to ensuring the quality and readiness of our popular office chairs. You will be responsible for the basic assembly, inspection, and preparation of office chairs, playing a crucial part in our supply chain. This is an on-site position that offers a supportive environment, training, and potential for growth within the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform basic assembly of IKEA office chairs following provided diagrams and instructions.
- Inspect chair components for defects or damage before and after assembly.
- Ensure all assembled chairs meet IKEA's quality and safety standards.
- Organize and maintain a clean and safe workspace.
- Assist with inventory counts and material handling as needed.
- Report any discrepancies or issues with parts or assembly to the supervisor.
- Adhere to all company safety guidelines and operational procedures.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Basic manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with basic hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, wrenches) from personal experience.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or production environment (not required, but a plus).
