Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Rehabilitation Center Porter to join our physiotherapy support team in Clifton, Bristol. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of our rehabilitation services by providing essential logistical and practical support. You will assist our physiotherapy team by transporting patients, equipment, and maintaining a clean and safe environment, directly contributing to our patients’ recovery journeys. Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport patients to and from physiotherapy sessions, wards, and other areas of the rehabilitation centre.
- Assist patients with mobility, using wheelchairs, hoists, and other aids as required, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Move and set up physiotherapy equipment and apparatus as directed by therapists.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the physiotherapy department, including equipment, treatment rooms, and waiting areas.
- Manage stock of linens, supplies, and other materials, ensuring availability for daily operations.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or patient concerns promptly to the appropriate staff.
- Provide general administrative support as needed, such as delivering documents or messages.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and infection control policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, their families, and staff members.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive environment for both patients and colleagues.
