Job Description

Are you passionate about fostering positive online environments and guiding user interactions? Meta is looking for a dedicated Online Forum Community Guide to join our remote team. In this role, you will be the heart of our online communities, ensuring engaging, respectful, and productive discussions. This is a unique opportunity to work flexible weekend and evening shifts, perfect for those seeking to make an impact while balancing other commitments. This position is 100% remote.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively moderate and guide discussions across various online forums and community platforms.
  • Enforce community guidelines and policies to maintain a safe and respectful environment.
  • Respond to user inquiries, provide support, and facilitate problem-solving within the community.
  • Identify and escalate critical issues or recurring themes to relevant internal teams.
  • Foster a sense of belonging and encourage positive user engagement.
  • Contribute to community strategy and help develop new initiatives.
  • Monitor community sentiment and report on key trends.
  • Work designated weekend and evening shifts to ensure continuous community coverage.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in online community moderation or customer support.
  • Excellent written communication skills with a strong command of English grammar and style.
  • Demonstrated empathy and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to make sound judgments and decisions under pressure.
  • Familiarity with various online forum platforms and social media tools.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Availability to work weekend and evening shifts as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience with conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques.
  • Familiarity with Meta's platforms and community guidelines.
  • Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a remote work setting.
