Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated, professional, and experienced Nanny to join a wonderful family in Memphis, TN. This is a full-time position offering 40 guaranteed hours per week, comprehensive medical benefits, and a 401k retirement plan. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, engaging, and nurturing individual with a strong background in childcare, capable of providing a safe, stimulating, and organized environment for school-aged children. You will be responsible for daily routines, educational support, and light household duties related to the children. Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, loving, and engaging care for school-aged children.
- Manage daily routines including meal preparation, school drop-offs and pick-ups, and extracurricular activities.
- Assist with homework and school projects, fostering a positive learning environment.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities, games, and outings.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for the children, including tidying play areas and children's rooms.
- Prepare healthy and nutritious meals and snacks for the children.
- Handle children's laundry and ensure their belongings are organized.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding the children's development, progress, and daily activities.
- Oversee playdates and social engagements.
- Travel with the family as needed (occasional).
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable full-time nanny or professional childcare experience.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to plan and execute engaging educational and recreational activities.
- Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate care techniques.
- Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Experience with school-aged children.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Strong culinary skills for preparing healthy children's meals.
- Experience with positive discipline techniques.
