Job Description
We are actively seeking a skilled and compassionate MRI / CT Radiologic Technologist to join our dynamic imaging team in Crewe, Cheshire. Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic MRI and CT examinations in accordance with established protocols and physician orders.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of patients throughout the imaging process, including proper patient positioning and monitoring.
- Operate and maintain MRI and CT equipment, performing daily quality control checks and troubleshooting minor issues.
- Prepare and administer contrast agents as required, under the supervision of a radiologist.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within the departmental information systems.
- Collaborate effectively with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Adhere to all radiation safety guidelines, local and national regulations, and departmental policies.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with imaging technologies and best practices.
Required Skills
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
- Current certification in Radiography (e.g., ARRT R, or equivalent international certification).
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as an MRI and CT Technologist.
- Eligibility for Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration in the UK.
- Proficiency in operating various MRI and CT scanners and related software.
- Strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and imaging principles.
- Excellent patient care and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced certification in MRI (e.g., ARRT MR) and/or CT (e.g., ARRT CT).
- Experience working in a private hospital setting.
- Prior experience with international healthcare systems or processes.
- Fluency in additional languages.
