Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Luxury Brand Translator with a dedicated focus on fashion, to join our global team. This is a 100% remote position. The ideal candidate will possess an impeccable command of multiple languages, a deep understanding of luxury fashion terminology, and the ability to accurately convey brand voice and tone across diverse cultural contexts. You will be instrumental in ensuring our global communications maintain the highest standards of linguistic quality and brand integrity, translating a wide range of content from marketing campaigns to product descriptions and internal communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate and localize a variety of content for luxury fashion brands, including marketing materials, press releases, website content, product descriptions, social media posts, and internal documents.
- Ensure linguistic accuracy, cultural relevance, and adherence to brand-specific style guides and glossaries across all translations.
- Maintain consistency in terminology, tone, and messaging across all translated materials.
- Conduct thorough proofreading and editing of translated content to eliminate errors and ensure optimal quality.
- Collaborate with marketing, communications, and product teams to understand specific project requirements and objectives.
- Utilize translation memory tools and terminology management systems to enhance efficiency and consistency.
- Stay informed about current trends in luxury fashion and the translation industry to continuously improve linguistic expertise.
- Provide linguistic feedback and contribute to the development of style guides and glossaries.
Required Skills
- Native-level fluency in English and at least one other major language (e.g., French, Italian, German, Spanish, Mandarin, Japanese).
- Proven experience as a professional translator, specifically within the luxury or fashion industry.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in all working languages.
- In-depth knowledge of luxury fashion terminology, trends, and cultural nuances.
- Proficiency with CAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) tools (e.g., SDL Trados, MemoQ) and terminology management software.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, error-free translations.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Modern Languages, Fashion Studies, or a related field.
- Experience working with multiple luxury brands or within a luxury group.
- Additional language proficiencies are a significant advantage.
- Certification from a recognized translation association (e.g., ATA, ITI).
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and localization workflows.
