Job Description
As a Lead Bank Teller at Wells Fargo, you will be an essential part of our branch team, providing exceptional customer service and processing transactions accurately and efficiently. This role goes beyond traditional teller duties, offering a significant opportunity to develop your leadership skills by guiding and mentoring junior tellers. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations, maintaining high standards of service, and contributing to the overall success of the branch. Key Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and cashing checks.
- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of bank tellers, assisting with complex transactions and escalated customer inquiries.
- Train and mentor new tellers, ensuring they adhere to company policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Maintain and balance cash drawer daily, adhering to strict cash handling procedures.
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate Wells Fargo products and services.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues professionally and effectively.
- Open and close the branch, ensuring all security protocols are followed.
- Comply with all banking regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Support branch management in daily operational tasks and achieve sales goals.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a bank teller or in a similar cash-handling role.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a small team.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with computer systems and banking software.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role within a financial institution.
- Knowledge of Wells Fargo products and services.
- Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish) is a plus.
