Job Description
Join Cintas Corporation as a Laundry & Linen Route Driver, serving our commercial accounts in Trail, British Columbia. This full-time role focuses on the safe and timely delivery and pickup of clean and soiled linens and uniforms for our diverse client base, including hotels, restaurants, and healthcare facilities. You’ll operate a company vehicle on a designated route, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to safety standards. Enjoy a consistent Monday-Friday schedule with weekends off.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company delivery vehicle (e.g., box truck, van) on a designated route within the Trail and surrounding areas.
- Deliver clean linen and uniforms to commercial customers.
- Pick up soiled linen and uniforms from customer locations.
- Accurately count and verify items during delivery and pickup, completing necessary paperwork.
- Maintain detailed route logs, delivery manifests, and vehicle inspection reports.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client needs and inquiries professionally.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure operational safety.
- Assist with loading and unloading the vehicle as required, ensuring proper securement of goods.
Required Skills
- Valid Class 5 (or equivalent) driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy linen bags (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout the day.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to manage a demanding route efficiently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently, while also being a collaborative team player.
- Attention to detail for accurate order fulfillment and meticulous record-keeping.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (1+ year) as a route driver or delivery driver.
- Familiarity with the Trail/Kootenay Boundary area road network and customer locations.
- Experience in the commercial laundry or hospitality industry is a plus.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor vehicle checks and troubleshooting.
