Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our fast-paced restaurant team in Salford Quays. This is an immediate opening for an individual who is eager to contribute to maintaining our high standards of cleanliness and efficiency in the kitchen. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our kitchen operations run smoothly, supporting our culinary team, and contributing to a positive dining experience for our customers. No prior experience is required, as full training will be provided for the right candidate with a can-do attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Washing dishes, cutlery, pots, and pans manually and using dishwashing equipment.
- Ensuring all kitchen areas, including floors, work surfaces, and equipment, are kept clean and hygienic.
- Assisting with the safe storage and organisation of deliveries.
- Emptying bins and managing waste disposal according to company guidelines.
- Supporting the kitchen team with basic food preparation tasks when required.
- Maintaining cleanliness of storage areas and fridges.
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations, including COSHH.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to cleanliness and hygiene.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality setting (not required but a plus).
- Food Hygiene Certificate Level 1 (training can be provided).
