Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Stone Fruit Pickers to join our team for the upcoming harvest season, focusing on peaches and plums. This is a high-pay temporary role for individuals who are fit, detail-oriented, and enjoy working outdoors. You will be responsible for carefully harvesting ripe fruit, ensuring quality and minimizing damage. This role is crucial to delivering fresh, delicious stone fruit to market.
Key Responsibilities
- Carefully pick ripe peaches and plums by hand, following specific quality guidelines.
- Inspect fruit for ripeness, blemishes, and damage during the picking process.
- Gently place picked fruit into designated containers, avoiding bruising or crushing.
- Work efficiently to meet daily picking targets while maintaining fruit quality.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations on the farm.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Report any issues with fruit quality or plant health to the team leader.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and stamina to work long hours in various weather conditions.
- Manual dexterity and attention to detail to handle delicate fruit.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
- Reliability and punctuality.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in fruit picking or agricultural work is an advantage but not essential.
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 10kg regularly.
- Access to reliable transportation, though the farm is accessible by public transport routes within Brighton.
