Job Description
Join Netflix as an Audio Mixing Specialist, where your expertise in sound will elevate our diverse range of content, from critically acclaimed series to feature films and documentaries. This role demands an exceptional ear for detail and a meticulous approach to audio engineering, ensuring every project meets our rigorous standards for sonic quality and impact. As a key member of our post-production team, you will be instrumental in crafting immersive and pristine audio mixes that captivate millions worldwide, all while operating from a fully remote setup.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-precision audio mixing for various content types, including dialogue, music, and sound effects, adhering to strict broadcast and streaming specifications.
- Master audio tracks to ensure optimal loudness, clarity, and dynamic range across all platforms.
- Collaborate closely with directors, producers, sound designers, and other post-production professionals to achieve desired creative and technical outcomes.
- Conduct thorough quality control checks on all audio deliverables, identifying and resolving any technical or artistic discrepancies.
- Utilize advanced audio software and hardware to create a cohesive and impactful sonic landscape.
- Maintain organized project files and adhere to established workflows and deadlines.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in audio mixing and mastering for film, television, or equivalent high-stakes media production.
- Expert proficiency with industry-standard Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools, Nuendo, or Logic Pro.
- Deep understanding of audio post-production workflows, codecs, and delivery specifications for various platforms.
- Exceptional ear training and critical listening skills with an acute attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of acoustics, signal flow, and advanced audio processing techniques (EQ, compression, reverb, etc.).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a remote team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering, Music Production, or a related field.
- Experience with Dolby Atmos and other immersive audio formats.
- Familiarity with various localization and dubbing audio requirements.
- Certification in specific DAWs (e.g., Avid Certified User for Pro Tools).
- Portfolio demonstrating a strong track record of high-quality audio mixes.
