Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Upstream Project Assistant with a strong construction focus to join our dynamic team in Long Beach, CA. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals eager to build a career in large-scale industrial projects, particularly within the upstream oil and gas or heavy infrastructure sectors. The successful candidate will provide essential administrative and project support to project managers and teams, ensuring the smooth execution of construction-related activities from initiation to completion. You will assist with documentation, scheduling, resource tracking, and communication, playing a crucial role in maintaining project timelines and budgets. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist project managers with daily administrative tasks and project coordination, specifically related to construction phases.
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings, reports, and change orders.
  • Support the creation and updating of project schedules and tracking progress against milestones using relevant software.
  • Facilitate communication between project stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, vendors, and clients.
  • Assist in budget tracking, expense reporting, and procurement processes for construction materials and services.
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and distribute minutes for project-related discussions.
  • Conduct basic research and data compilation to support project planning and decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company standards on construction sites as part of administrative duties.
  • Travel to project sites occasionally for documentation or coordination purposes.
