Job Description
Join the dynamic team at ASM Global as a Student Event Usher for concerts and sports events in Chula Vista! This casual, part-time role is perfect for students looking for flexible work, gaining experience in event management, and being part of exciting live experiences. As an Usher, you will be the face of our venues, ensuring guests have a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience. You’ll assist with seating, provide directions, and help maintain a positive atmosphere during various events.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and direct guests to their assigned seats and various venue amenities.
- Scan tickets and verify credentials for entry.
- Monitor assigned sections for any issues, disturbances, or safety hazards.
- Provide excellent customer service, answering guest questions and assisting with their needs.
- Enforce venue policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Assist with crowd control and emergency evacuations when necessary.
- Work collaboratively with event staff and security personnel.
- Maintain a clean and orderly environment within assigned sections.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during events.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Basic problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service, hospitality, or event-based role.
- Familiarity with the venue layout or event operations.
- Ability to speak multiple languages is a plus.
- Current enrollment in a college or university program.
