Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and hands-on Desk Assembly Specialist with an electronic focus to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the precise assembly of IKEA standing/sit desks, paying close attention to the integration of electronic components, wiring, and control mechanisms. This position requires a keen eye for detail, the ability to follow complex instructions, and a basic understanding of electronics to ensure all functions operate flawlessly. You will work within customer homes or a dedicated assembly facility, ensuring high-quality construction and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble a variety of IKEA standing/sit desks according to provided instructions and diagrams.
  • Install and connect electronic components, wiring, and control panels for height adjustment mechanisms.
  • Perform functional tests on assembled desks to ensure all electronic features operate correctly.
  • Identify and troubleshoot minor electronic or mechanical issues during assembly.
  • Handle tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and potentially customers regarding assembly progress or issues.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Provide exceptional service and ensure customer satisfaction with the final product.
