Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Hotel Porter to join our esteemed team at The Grand, York. This role offers the unique flexibility of a 4-day work week, allowing for an improved work-life balance while contributing to a premier hospitality environment. As a Hotel Porter, you will be the welcoming face of our establishment, ensuring guests receive a seamless and memorable arrival and departure experience. Your dedication to service and proactive approach will be key to maintaining our high standards of guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests upon arrival and assist with luggage handling, ensuring safe and timely delivery to rooms.
- Provide information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions with enthusiasm and accuracy.
- Assist guests with transportation needs, including calling taxis or providing directions.
- Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the hotel lobby, entrance, and luggage storage areas.
- Handle guest inquiries and requests efficiently and professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Deliver newspapers, mail, and packages to guest rooms as required.
- Support other hotel departments with various tasks to ensure smooth operations.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and security policies and procedures.
