Job Description
Are you a motivated and enthusiastic 15-year-old looking for your first step into the world of work? Nando’s in Digbeth is offering immediate openings for Weekend Servers! This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced and friendly restaurant environment. You’ll be an essential part of our team, helping to create memorable dining experiences for our guests while developing important life skills like teamwork, communication, and customer service. We offer comprehensive training and a supportive atmosphere to help you succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet guests and assist them with seating arrangements.
- Present menus, explain specials, and answer questions about food and beverages.
- Accurately take food and drink orders and relay them to the kitchen staff.
- Serve food and beverages to tables in a timely and professional manner.
- Clear tables efficiently and prepare them for the next guests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area.
- Assist with basic cleaning tasks as needed.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth service.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve minor issues with a positive attitude.
Required Skills
- Must be 15 years old and legally eligible to work in the UK.
- Strong desire to learn and develop new skills.
- Excellent punctuality and reliability.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Polite and friendly demeanor.
- Capable of standing for extended periods and lifting light trays.
