Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate personal care services, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Assist clients with mobility and transfers, using proper techniques and equipment.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
  • Provide medication reminders as directed by a healthcare professional.
  • Engage clients in stimulating activities and provide companionship.
  • Monitor and report changes in client's health status or behavior to the care supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Required Skills

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • A compassionate and empathetic demeanor.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license with proof of insurance.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Physical ability to perform duties, including lifting and assisting clients.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A genuine desire to help others and make a positive impact.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Current CPR certification (training can be provided).
  • Basic knowledge of first aid.
  • Previous experience in a caregiving role (volunteer or informal is welcome).
