Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Hotel Porter to join our team at The Abode Canterbury. As a Hotel Porter, you will be the first point of contact for many of our guests, playing a crucial role in ensuring their comfort and satisfaction from the moment they arrive. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to handle various guest requests efficiently and courteously. Key Responsibilities
- Warmly welcome guests upon arrival and assist with luggage handling, ensuring a smooth check-in experience.
- Provide accurate information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions.
- Assist guests with transportation needs, including calling taxis and providing directions.
- Handle guest inquiries and requests promptly and professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the hotel lobby, entrance, and public areas.
- Deliver newspapers, messages, and packages to guest rooms as required.
- Support other hotel departments, such as housekeeping and front desk, when needed.
- Adhere to all hotel security and safety procedures.
- Operate and maintain luggage trolleys and other equipment safely.
