Job Description

Join Habitat for Humanity International as a Remote Grants Coordinator with a Non-Profit Finance Focus! This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to contribute to our mission of building homes, communities, and hope. This position is 100% remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home office, ideally based out of the New Port Richey, FL area to align with our broader network. As a Grants Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in securing funding that empowers our programs and projects worldwide. Your expertise in grant research, proposal writing, financial reporting, and compliance will directly impact our ability to serve more families in need. We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of non-profit financial management and a passion for making a difference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and identify potential grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies.
  • Develop compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and concept papers, adhering to funder guidelines and deadlines.
  • Manage grant application processes from start to finish, including budget development and submission.
  • Monitor grant performance and ensure compliance with all reporting requirements and grant agreements.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports for funders, ensuring accuracy and alignment with grant expenditures.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all grant activities in our CRM and grants management system.
  • Collaborate with program managers and finance teams to gather necessary information for proposals and reports.
  • Stay informed about funding trends, opportunities, and best practices in grant management within the non-profit sector.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Non-profit Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in grants coordination or non-profit finance, with a strong emphasis on grants.
  • Proven track record of successful grant writing and securing funding from various sources.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and persuasive proposals.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with grant budget development and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in grants management software and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser's Edge).
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with federal grants (e.g., HUD, USAID) and their associated compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with the mission and work of Habitat for Humanity or other housing/community development non-profits.
  • Certification in Grant Professional (GPC).
