Job Description

We are seeking a welcoming and diligent Hotel Bell Porter to join our esteemed team at The Queens Hotel Cheltenham. As a Bell Porter, you will be the first and last point of contact for our guests, playing a crucial role in shaping their experience from arrival to departure. This role requires a friendly demeanor, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to assist guests with their luggage and provide local information. You will be an integral part of our front-of-house operations, ensuring every guest receives a warm welcome and efficient service in our iconic boutique setting. A uniform will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet all guests upon arrival and departure with a warm and professional welcome.
  • Assist guests efficiently with their luggage, carrying it to and from their rooms.
  • Escort guests to their rooms, providing an overview of hotel facilities and services.
  • Provide accurate and helpful information about the hotel, local attractions, dining, and transportation.
  • Handle guest inquiries and requests promptly and courteously, escalating issues as needed.
  • Assist with valeting services, including parking and retrieving guest vehicles (if applicable, with proper license).
  • Maintain a tidy and welcoming hotel entrance and lobby area.
  • Liaise effectively with other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest service.
  • Perform various errands for guests as requested, upholding the hotel's high standards of service.
  • Adhere to all safety and security procedures of the hotel.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy luggage.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a hotel or hospitality environment.

  • A valid UK driving license is a plus for assisting with valet parking.
