Job Description

Join our team as a High Street Picker at our small boutique warehouse in Great Yarmouth. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and accurate dispatch of our beautiful products to customers and stores. You will be responsible for meticulously selecting items from our inventory, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality before they are prepared for shipment. We are looking for an individual with a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to maintaining our brand’s reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately pick and retrieve products from warehouse shelves based on order sheets or digital instructions.
  • Verify product codes, quantities, and quality, ensuring items are free from damage or defects.
  • Organise and prepare picked items for packing and dispatch, adhering to company guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment within the warehouse.
  • Assist with inventory checks, stock rotation, and receiving new deliveries as required.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to meet daily dispatch targets and ensure efficient workflow.
  • Operate basic warehouse equipment safely, if trained and required (e.g., pallet jacks).
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.

Required Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to read and follow instructions carefully.
  • Good physical stamina and ability to lift and carry items up to 15kg.
  • Reliability and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, retail, or picking/packing role.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety procedures in a warehouse setting.
