Job Description

Are you a skilled Hardware Support Technician with a passion for problem-solving and excellent customer service? Concentrix is seeking a dedicated Hardware Support Tech to join our team, focusing on in-home repair services. In this role, you will be the face of Concentrix, providing essential technical assistance directly to our customers in their homes. Your expertise will ensure smooth operation and quick resolution of hardware issues, enhancing our customers’ overall experience. This position requires strong diagnostic abilities, hands-on repair skills, and a commitment to delivering top-tier service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of various hardware components and systems in customer homes.
  • Provide clear, concise, and professional communication with customers, explaining technical issues and solutions in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Manage and prioritize service appointments efficiently, ensuring timely and effective resolution of all service requests.
  • Maintain accurate records of all repair activities, including parts used and service performed, using our internal systems.
  • Order, track, and manage parts inventory, ensuring availability for scheduled repairs.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, especially when working in customer homes.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to customers, empowering them to prevent future issues.
  • Continuously update knowledge on new hardware technologies and repair techniques.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in hardware troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to perform in-home service calls.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a mobile service schedule effectively.
  • Proficiency with various operating systems (Windows, macOS) and common hardware components.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various home environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CompTIA A+ or other relevant hardware certifications.
  • Previous experience in a field service or in-home repair role.
  • Associate's degree or technical diploma in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, IT Support).
  • Familiarity with network troubleshooting and connectivity issues.
