Job Description
Join Alliance Healthcare as a Healthcare Logistics Assistant in Exeter. You will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our distribution centre, ensuring that vital healthcare products reach their destinations accurately and on time. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented individual to contribute to a critical sector. You will be involved in various aspects of warehouse and logistics management, upholding the highest standards of safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the receiving, checking, and storage of incoming pharmaceutical products.
- Accurately pick and pack orders for dispatch to pharmacies and healthcare facilities.
- Ensure all inventory is correctly labelled and stored according to strict regulatory guidelines.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely, such as pallet trucks (training provided if necessary).
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse environment.
- Participate in regular stock counts and inventory reconciliation.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and standard operating procedures.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to the line manager promptly.
Required Skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry and inventory management systems.
- Physical fitness to lift and move packages up to 20kg.
- Good communication skills.
- Understanding of basic warehouse operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or healthcare environment.
- Forklift or pallet truck certification.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical storage and handling regulations.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
