Job Description
Are you looking for a flexible way to earn money on your own terms? Deliveroo is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Courier Drivers to join our dynamic team in Oxford. As a Deliveroo Courier Driver, you’ll be responsible for picking up food orders from local restaurants and delivering them efficiently to customers’ homes or offices. This role offers complete flexibility, allowing you to choose your own hours and work when it suits your schedule – perfect for students, part-timers, or anyone looking for supplementary income. You’ll use your own vehicle (car, scooter, or bicycle) and our intuitive app to manage deliveries, providing a vital link between our partners and hungry customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick up food orders from various restaurants and partners promptly.
- Deliver orders safely and efficiently to customers within specified timeframes.
- Provide excellent customer service during pickups and deliveries, maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
- Navigate routes effectively using a smartphone app and local knowledge.
- Handle payments and order confirmations accurately via the Deliveroo app.
- Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Required Skills
- Valid UK driving license (for car/scooter drivers) or proficient cycling skills (for bicycle riders).
- Access to a reliable vehicle (car, scooter, or bicycle) and a smartphone.
- Ability to use a smartphone and navigate through delivery apps.
- Good geographical knowledge of Oxford and surrounding areas.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a delivery or customer service role.
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated with a proactive approach.
- Familiarity with the Deliveroo platform as a customer or rider.
