Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the comprehensive setup and efficient teardown of event infrastructure, including staging, lighting, sound equipment, fencing, signage, and vendor booths.
- Provide clear guidance and direction to festival attendees, assisting with wayfinding, managing crowd flow, and ensuring safe movement throughout the venue.
- Support various operational needs, such as managing queues, distributing promotional materials, and performing light cleaning duties to maintain the cleanliness and appeal of event grounds.
- Collaborate effectively with other crew members, event staff, security personnel, and vendors to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and in alignment with event timelines.
- Respond to guest inquiries with a friendly and helpful demeanor, providing accurate information and contributing to a positive festival experience.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, event guidelines, and emergency procedures to maintain a secure and orderly environment for all participants.
- Be prepared for physically demanding tasks, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying equipment (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods, often outdoors in various weather conditions.
Required Skills
- High level of physical stamina and the ability to perform strenuous tasks, including prolonged standing, walking, lifting, and carrying.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to punctuality and completing assigned duties efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately from supervisors and team leads.
- Positive attitude, proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a diverse team.
- Adaptability to changing tasks, schedules, and environmental conditions inherent in live event production.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience, even volunteer, in event production, festivals, concerts, or a similar fast-paced environment.
- Prior customer service experience, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and a guest-focused approach.
- Comfortable working outdoors for extended periods and adaptable to various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
- Availability for flexible working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by specific event schedules.
- Basic knowledge of event logistics or production terminology.
