Job Description

As a Remote Facebook Group Admin, you will be the guardian of our thriving online community, ensuring a positive, respectful, and engaging environment for all members. Your primary role will be to moderate posts, enforce group rules, and foster constructive conversations, directly contributing to our community’s health and growth. This is a 100% remote position, offering you the flexibility to work from anywhere in Nanaimo, British Columbia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively monitor and moderate posts and comments within the designated Shopify Facebook groups.
  • Ensure all content adheres to group guidelines, terms of service, and company policies.
  • Approve new member requests and posts in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Address conflicts, spam, and inappropriate content promptly and professionally, maintaining a peaceful environment.
  • Engage with community members to foster a positive, interactive, and supportive atmosphere.
  • Identify and report trends, feedback, and potential issues to the community management team.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of group guidelines and moderation strategies.
  • Maintain a friendly, helpful, and firm presence within the community.
  • Respond to member queries and guide them to relevant resources or support channels.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in Facebook group moderation or online community management (minimum 6 months).
  • Strong understanding of Facebook platform features, algorithms, and best practices.
  • Excellent written communication skills with a clear, concise, and professional tone.
  • Ability to make quick, sound judgments and decisions in dynamic online environments.
  • High level of empathy, patience, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Reliable internet connection and a dedicated, distraction-free home office setup.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with other social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, LinkedIn, Reddit).
  • Familiarity with e-commerce or small business communities and their unique needs.
  • Basic knowledge of social media analytics tools and reporting.
  • Prior experience in customer support or customer service roles.
