Job Description
Join Walmart as an Entry-Level Order Picker! We’re seeking motivated individuals ready to start a rewarding career in our fast-paced distribution center in Southside, Jacksonville, FL. No prior experience is required as we provide comprehensive training to ensure your success. As an Order Picker, you will be a vital part of our logistics team, responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting products from warehouse shelves, ensuring orders are prepared for shipment to our stores and customers. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick products from designated warehouse locations using voice-picking systems or handheld scanners.
- Verify product quantity, quality, and item numbers against picking lists.
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, or other material handling equipment safely and efficiently (training provided).
- Stage completed orders in the correct areas for loading and shipment.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding any discrepancies or issues.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and understand basic instructions in English.
- Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction).
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, retail, or fast-paced environment (even if not order picking specific).
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Basic computer literacy.
