This physically active role is crucial to our operations, involving the movement, sorting, and preparation of merchandise for shipment. Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload merchandise from trailers and containers safely and efficiently.
- Sort and stage products according to established procedures and store allocations.
- Operate various warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts (training provided if needed).
- Perform general warehouse duties, including cleaning and organizing work areas.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and report discrepancies.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily productivity targets.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable transportation to and from the Abbotsford Distribution Center.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution center setting.
- Experience operating material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack).
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
