Job Description
Carey International is seeking a highly professional and experienced Ground Logistics Chauffeur with a strong focus on corporate travel. In this critical role, you will be responsible for providing safe, punctual, and discreet transportation services to our corporate clients in and around Chicago. This position requires exceptional driving skills, a deep understanding of local traffic patterns, and an unwavering commitment to customer service and professionalism. You will represent the Carey International brand, ensuring every journey is executed with precision and discretion, adhering to the highest standards of safety and client confidentiality. Ideal candidates will possess a clean driving record, extensive experience in professional driving, and a polished demeanor.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport corporate clients to their destinations, following planned routes and adapting to real-time traffic conditions.
- Maintain the cleanliness and impeccable condition of company vehicles, ensuring they meet Carey International's high standards.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
- Provide discreet and professional service, respecting client privacy and confidentiality.
- Assist clients with luggage and provide courteous support as needed.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding schedule changes, delays, or special requests.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Stay updated on local events, road closures, and alternative routes to ensure timely arrivals.
Required Skills
- Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum 2 years of professional chauffeuring or high-end driving experience.
- Excellent knowledge of Chicago metropolitan area roadways and traffic patterns.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- High degree of punctuality, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
- Proficiency with navigation systems (GPS) and smartphone applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in corporate executive transportation or luxury chauffeured services.
- Defensive driving certification.
- Familiarity with luxury vehicle operations and maintenance.
