Job Description

AdventHealth Wesley Chapel is excited to offer an entry-level Healthcare Assistant (HCA) position, designed for individuals passionate about caring for others. Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and mobility.
- Help patients with feeding and ensure proper nutrition intake.
- Monitor vital signs and accurately record patient information.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe patient environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Respond to patient calls and requests promptly.
- Assist with patient transport and transfers as needed.
- Document care provided in electronic health records under supervision.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong compassion and empathy for patients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures.
- Physical ability to assist patients with mobility and perform other duties.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (can be obtained during training).
- Prior volunteer experience in a healthcare setting.
