Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Creche Workers to join our dedicated team at Aberdeen Sports Village. As a Creche Worker, you will be responsible for providing a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for children while their parents or guardians utilise our gym and leisure facilities. This is a casual position, ideal for individuals looking for flexible working hours, a rewarding role in childcare, and contributing to the community’s well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise children aged 0-8 years old in a creche setting, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Organise and lead age-appropriate play activities, games, and creative sessions.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and stimulating play environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding their child's activities and any concerns.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and company policies.
- Administer basic first aid when necessary (training provided if required).
- Assist with registration and check-out procedures for children.
- Support the overall smooth operation of the creche facility.
Required Skills
- Previous experience working with children aged 0-8 years.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic approach to childcare.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Understanding of child development and appropriate play activities.
- Current Enhanced DBS/PVG check (or willingness to obtain one).
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant childcare qualification (e.g., SVQ in Social Services (Children and Young People), HNC in Childhood Practice).
- Paediatric First Aid qualification.
- Experience in a gym or leisure centre creche setting.
